"Vampire Survivors" is an independently developed game that has gained a ton of attention in recent years! Vampire Survivors-like is a new game genre that game pioneered. Driven by its unique mechanics and consistently updated content, "Vampire Survivors" has attracted a huge following of both new and veteran players. Whether you're a fan of the series or a newcomer, this "progenitor" work is a classic that you've got to experience!

However, for new players just starting out, quickly mastering the characteristics of each character and effective combination strategies can still be a challenge. I began playing this game after the October 2022 update and have accumulated extensive gaming experience through over a year of exploration and practice. As a seasoned player, I'm happy to help fellow new players by sharing my insights on character selection and equipment builds in the 2024 version.

Strongest Characters For Each Stage

Explanation

I am here to recommend the best characters for each stage of the game and analyze the pros and cons of each character to help you get the most out of the experience. I'll also provide you with a handy 2024 Character Tier List to help you unlock all of your achievements as quickly as possible.

I've broken down the character unlock timeline into three stages:

Early Game (3 stages cleared, basic powerups established)
Mid-Game (stages 3-5, Yellow Sign and unlocking the coffin)
Late Game (unlocking remaining content and post-game relaxation runs)

Each stage is scored separately, so you can focus on one stage at a time.

DLC Content Rating

I've also included the DLC in the mix, which is ranked separately from the main game progression. This is to make sure you don't miss out on any content. While you can unlock the DLC quite early, we don't really recommend it. Some of the characters in the DLC are super easy to unlock, but might make your normal gameplay experience a little too easy. We think you'll have more fun if you wait to start the DLC until you've completed the main game.

Early Game

Krochi Freetto:This is because it has an extremely high survivability rate, the fastest movement speed of any early game character, and it comes with 2 built-in revives.

Suor Clerici:The character starts with +30 HP bonus, and it also starts with a massive boost to its attack range. It has a high rate of automatic health regeneration, and a large health pool, making it relatively difficult to kill early on.

Pasqualina Belpaese: has a decent starting weapon with Runetracer. Works best in levels that have close walls like Inlaid Library.

Mid Game

Pugnala Provola starts with two weapons that union and gets level scaling Might. Probably the best character you can unlock early without DLC. Starting with the two guns provides a nice starting boost and their union, Phieraggi, is really powerful.

Santa Ladonna Unlocked too late, with hardly any opportunity to use them. This character's growth potential is actually quite good for the next stage. Once leveled up to a high rank, their strength is in the top tier below the Sigma Queen.

Sir Ambrojoe also unlocked too late,has one of the best late game starting weapons of the projectile characters group due to the defensive potential and high damage of the falling furniture from La Robba. Due to starting with +10 Amount at level 1, he is a great user of Game Killer.

Late Game

Queen Sigma is unmatched in her starting power and leveling potential. Her main downside is that she can make the game too easy, and she can't use Golden Eggs. For normal gameplay, Golden Eggs are not needed and only serve to reduce game difficulty, but she doesn't need them anyway as her stats are the equivalent of around 3,000 Golden Eggs. Due to her ability to purchase a Candybox from the merchant, her strong stats, and her 5-6 Arcana, she is the ultimate fantasy character build. She is capable of running any build in the game with extreme potency.
